Watercolor Artist Statement

My painting looks like a very green forest. I created this painting with watercolors.  We found a picture of a real forest, and copied it in our own way with watercolors.  Some techniques I used were wet on wet, wet on dry, and dry brush.  If I did this again I think I would try to put some more details into it.  Although water colors don’t need detail, I like adding detail to things.  My intended meaning was to make you think your looking at a forest from the middle of it, like jumanji.  I think the detail in the trees and some of the plants help this meaning to show.  I also think working on a practice forest example really helped make the trees look more realistic.  I think for the future I would like to make more watercolors, cause it’s pretty fun.
