Abstract 1 Artist Statement

       So my artwork is supposed to be an abstract painting, showing a Bible verse.  My painting looks like a red painting with brown on the edges, and black and blue streaks across the whole thing.  We used paint and different brushes, and tried to be abstract.  I don’t know what I would change if I did it again.  The meaning was to make an abstract painting from a Bible verse, I chose “He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.)” – Genesis 25:30. My painting looked like a bowl of red stew, and the streaks are supposed to represent the feeling of famished.  I don’t know how I would make red stew without red.  I want to get better at painting, watercolor was easier for me so I want to improve in this.
